Chris Knewstubb - Web Developer

I began working with information technology in 1993. I started out as a business analyst in one of the larger government departments. As I gained experience I moved up through the ranks to the lofty position of senior business analyst. I was mainly working on the design of business software.

In the year 2000, I started working for myself, contracting to various organisations. I became more interested in business/management information and it's delivery to the people who use it. I was contracted to work with a government ministry where I lead a team which developed an internal website for reporting management information. This site creates over 2000 web pages each day. This was an exciting time, during which I became enthusiastic about the potential of the World Wide Web.

I started ThreadWeb because I was aghast at the amount of money a lot of web development companies charge for their services. It seemed to me that many small businesses could miss out on the opportunity to get a web presence because of the cost. I know that a good web site that effectively promotes a business did not have to be expensive.

ThreadWeb is a new venture for me. Although we have been in business only a short time we have a number of sites up and running - check them out at our portfolio page.
